Beyond Professionalism: Danrem 083/Bdj Urges Soldiers to Live with Health and Integrity
Jember – A soldier’s professionalism is shaped not only by the ability to carry out duties, but also by physical health, family resilience, and personal integrity. This was conveyed by Commander of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya, Colonel Inf. Wahyu Ramadhanus Suryawan, S.Sos., M.M.S., M.Han., accompanied by Chairwoman of Persit Koorcabrem 083/Bdj PD V/Brawijaya, Mrs. Lendri Wahyu, during his briefing to personnel and members of Persit at Kodim 0824/Jember on Tuesday (October 6, 2026).
Danrem emphasized that territorial personnel must understand their unit’s main duties, stay informed about developments in their areas of responsibility, and remain attentive to various issues affecting the community. Soldiers are expected to be present as part of the solution while continuing to prioritize coordination and applicable regulations.
Within the family environment, personnel and Persit members were encouraged to maintain harmony and manage household finances wisely. Danrem also stressed the importance of maintaining good health through a healthy diet and regular exercise, enabling personnel to remain fit and ready to carry out their duties.
The use of social media also requires attention. All personnel were urged to use social media wisely and protect the reputation of themselves, their families, and their units. This is part of a soldier’s responsibility amid the rapid development of information technology.
Danrem further called on all personnel to support the Integrity Zone toward achieving a Corruption-Free Area (WBK), by making discipline, honesty, compliance, and integrity part of their daily culture.
“Do not focus only on developing your capabilities. Take care of your health, build a strong family, and uphold integrity. These are the foundations for soldiers to provide their best service and dedication,” he said. (Penrem 083)
